Our Response to the Grenfell Tragedy

Exmoor Surgery was deeply affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017, with 19 of our registered patients tragically lost. In response, we became a specialist Grenfell practice, accepting transfers from other practices and offering trauma-informed care to many survivors and bereaved families.

Our support has included:

Extended 30- to 60-minute appointments for traumatised patients
Dedicated weekly clinics led by Dr. Brannick
Trauma screening, smoke exposure monitoring, and enhanced health checks
Longstanding multidisciplinary team meetings
In-house massage therapy as a bridge to formal trauma therapy
Organising community fundraisers and reflective initiatives

This work has been recognised both locally and nationally, with multiple members of staff nominated for awards including Harrow Heroes and featured in the press for heroic community contributions.
