Community-Led Recovery: Grenfell Population Health Monitoring Update

The meeting focused on making health data easier to understand and ensuring that recovery remains community-led. Residents shared questions and concerns about how health information is collected, what it can and cannot tell us, and how well it reflects people’s lived experiences.

Discussions covered a range of important topics, including:

Mental health and wellbeing
Cancer detection and prevention
The importance of early intervention
Transparency and ongoing communication

Residents expressed a strong desire for continued engagement, including more question-and-answer sessions and opportunities to hear directly from health experts. NHS teams also encouraged eligible residents to take up the Enhanced Health Check (EHC), which plays a vital role in monitoring health trends and tailoring services to community needs.

Next community meeting:

These conversations are central to turning the principle of community-led recovery into reality and ensuring that health services continue to respond to emerging needs.
